Position on the scale to represent volume of minted coins or evaluated volume of existing coins.

Fortress Algorithm is mathematically calculated coin price considering: year, denomination, type of metal, weight, mintage and grade. All coins are subject to the same mathematical formula, so the outcome price evenly represents value for every Polish coin.

Tips:

Fortress Algorithm is very helpful in assigning a price to a coin that did not appear on any auction.
Compare this price with catalogue or market price to identify coins with potential in gaining its value.

( PF ) ( StL ) - Proof (frosted design with absolute mirror-like field).
( UNC ) ( I ) - No visible signs of wear. Bag marks may be present.
( AU ) ( I/II ) - A little trace of wear on highest points of the coin.
( XF ) ( II ) - About 95% of the original detail visible.
( VF ) ( III ) - About 75% of the original detail visible.
( F ) ( IV ) - About 50% of the original detail visible.
( VG ) ( V ) - About 25% of original detail visible.
( G ) ( VI ) - Substantial wear. Only design outlines visible.

Internationally, Grades are displayed on scale from 0 to 70:
MS 61 to MS 70 - State I ( above uncirculated )
MS 60 - State I ( UNC - uncirculated )
AU 50 - State I/II ( AU - about uncirculated )
XF 40 - State II ( XF - extra fine )
